Juan Sebastián Molano had been in an altercation with Hugo Page at the Volta a Catalunya this year, and he is gaining a reputation as an aggressive rider in the bunch, as today he saw his stage win at the
Tour de Langkawi taken away after he shoved a rider.
The incident took place in the final kilometers of the second stage of the Malaysian race. Molano had been in contention for the sprint, and eventually took the win on the day. However, after reviewing the footage, organizers relegated the Colombian to last position in the peloton, after a moment where he took his hands off the handlebars to push a fellow rider near the final sprint.
That seems to be unfair. The rider he pushed was shoulder barging into him in a dangerous way. He just pushed him back to get the guys shoulder off him.
So if he had given him a shoulder push back back and not used his hand that would have been okay?
