Video: The attack of Remco Evenepoel on stage 6 of Catalunya and his dispute with Roglic

Stage 6 of the Volta a Catalunya was a rather sprinter-friendly day, but the final kilometers saw another dramatic battle by Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic. This time however, Evenepoel was clearly displeased with the race leader's actions.

With 27 kilometers to go Evenepoel tried to surprise, knowing of the very fast and technical descent. His attack towards the summit of the final categorized climb of the day saw only a response from Primoz Roglic, who then followed closely the wheel of the World Champion.

The move was eventually unsuccessful however, much because of Roglic's option not to work with him. The many requests of Evenepoel were denied and he was clearly unhappy, shaking his head at the decision. Right after the two sprinted at the intermediate sprint with Evenepoel closing the gap in the overall classification by a second.

Eventually the sprinters took the helm on the day, and it was Kaden Groves taking the stage win. The gap between the two is of 8 seconds now at the start of the final stage.
