VIDEO: Tadej Pogacar shows he is human with bouquet blunder on post-stage 6 podium

Tadej Pogacar has been pretty faultless so far at the 2024 Giro d'Italia. Mistakes can happen to even the best though, as the UAE Team Emirates leader proved on the post-stage 6 podium.

After receiving his blue jersey for leader of the King of the Mountains standings, Pogacar attempted to throw the ceremonial bouquet of flowers into the arms of the adoring crowd. Sadly, the Slovenian got it all wrong and instead, only managed to lob the bunch straight into the roof of the podium area before turning away in disgust as the flowers dropped to the ground with a sad thud.

During the actual stage though, Pogacar was without issue once again, safely navigating the white roads of Tuscany to maintain his 46 second advantage over nearest rival, Geraint Thomas in the GC ahead of the stage 7 individual time-trial on Friday afternoon.
