Tadej Pogacar dominated last
week’s Critérium du Dauphiné, storming to three stage wins and the overall
title in emphatic and ominous style. But amid the fireworks and effortless win,
the Slovenian still found time to make a young fan’s day.
In a moment captured on video,
Pogacar handed his sunglasses to a child in the crowd, in doing so making the
young fan’s day. It’s not the first time the Slovenian has done something like
this, and it was a reminder that his popularity stems not just from his legs,
but from his attitude.
With just over two weeks to go
before the start of the 2025
Tour de France on July 5th, Pogacar has returned
to training as he aims to capture his fourth yellow jersey. If his Dauphiné
form, and composure, is anything to go by, he’ll arrive in France as the man to
