Stephen Williams of Israel - Premier Tech has taken the biggest win of his career, courtesy of a stunning attack on the final ascent of the Mur de Huy at La Fleche Wallonne 2024.

With a group of around 30 riders coming to the foot of the climb together, everyone was biding their time and waiting, perhaps worried about launching too early on such a steep ascent to the line. With 300m to go however, Williams decided the time was now and set off with a brutal attack, leaving all his rivals in the dust immediately. Although the Welshman began to tie up slightly as the line neared, the quickly approaching Kevin Vauquelin couldn't quite catch Williams and victory in an Ardennes Classic was added to his growing palmares.
