Simon Yates will be racing the Giro d'Italia in what is just over a month and has had a string of impressive performances at the recent Paris-Nice which has seen him finish second just behind Primoz Roglic. In Team BikeExchanges - Jayco's series 'Journey To The Giro', the team gives some background on the Briton's preparation for the first Grand Tour of the season.
Yates has survived the crosswinds, thrived in the race's time-trial and finished with the big favourites on the queen stage to Col de Turini. On the final day, the harsh conditions made it a hard day for everyone, but Yates has had one of the best performances of his career to put in an attack at the Col d'Èze, threatening Primoz Roglic's lead and taking an important stage win.
