Remco Evenepoel dropped? #LaVuelta23

The reigning Vuelta a Espana champion is in big trouble early on stage 13 of the 2023 edition of the race. Remco Evenepoel has been dropped by a Jumbo-Visma led lead group with around 90km still to go!
Wearing the White Jersey of best young rider, Evenepoel has been dropped from the Red Jersey group very early on with the pace-setting not even that high. Could this be race over already? Is it now just a question of which Jumbo-Visma rider will take the win?
There has been talk of illness from within the Soudal - Quick-Step camp, is this Evenepoel feeling the efforts of some kind of bug or does he just not have the legs? There are many questions at such an early part of this stage.

- All pro cyclists are massively underpaid! The amount of riding and physical exertion they put their bodies through is crazy compared to other sports. I can't think of any other sport where you are physically active at a very high level of power output for hours on end each day.Pogboom17-11-2024

- Pointless reporting. They are rivals, each tries their way to get their best result, with or without collaboration. As long as it’s all fair, why even report riders feelings about such stuff (yes I know, lack of other news). Anyone riding races will go through dozens of moments per race where they get emotional about the way someone else rides or takes advantage or doesn’t collaborate or more, it is natural, it is justified, it is NOT newsworthy!Mistermaumau17-11-2024
