Whilst UAE Team Emirates were dominating things at the head of the race at the Vuelta a Asturias last weekend, there were some shocking scenes taking place a bit further back.
On the steep slopes of El Violeo, TotalEnergies' Paul Ourselin was battling hard, only for to be brought down to the ground hard in a nasty crash. Rather than a mistake by himself, a wet road or even a coming together with another rider, the Frenchman was driven right into the back of by a race motorbike. Thankfully, Ourselin was able to remount and finish the stage in 63rd position although he did look in some considerable pain.
