VIDEO: Peter Sagan gives update as he returns to training just a couple of weeks after heart surgery

Peter Sagan's hopes of challenging for Mountain Bike gold at the Paris Olympics later this summer have been on a rocky road recently as the Slovakian was diagnosed with heart issues.

Recently, Sagan was even forced to have heart surgery, meaning he was likely to miss an extended period of time from racing at the highest level. Just a couple of weeks after though, the man synonymous with the Tour de France Green Jersey is already back on his bike.

"Quick update everybody! It's time to go in the saddle for my first training ride after my surgery a couple of weeks ago," Sagan posted in a short video update to his official X (Twitter) account on Wednesday. "Once again, many thanks for all the messages of support I received from all over the world. You guys rock!!"
