Lidl-Trek were at their very best on stage 3 of the 2023 Tour of Denmark as Mattias Skjelmose and Mads Pedersen romped to a dominant one-two finish with Skjelmose moving into the overall race lead.
Pedersen, arguably the premier Danish rider in the peloton today and Skjelmose, the Danish national champion working together in a two-man time-trial to the line, the fans at the roadside in Vejle were loving it. On the final rise to the line, Skjelmose actually dropped Pedersen but following their crossing of the line the pair embraced in a touching moment.
