VIDEO: Mads Pedersen steps up Classics preparation with trip to the Poggio

Mads Pedersen started his 2024 season in blistering form at the Etoile de Bessèges last week, taking not only the overall victory but also the points classification and a stage win.
One of the Dane's biggest goals this year will be the Classics and with more than one eye on Milano-Sanremo, Pedersen has taken a trip to one of the sport's most infamous locations, the Poggio, alongside his Lidl-Trek teammate, Alex Kirsch.
The last two successive seasons, Pedersen has come home in sixth at Milano-Sanremo as Matej Mohoric in 2022 and Mathieu van der Poel in 2023 took the win. Could 2024 finally be the year of triumph for Mads Pedersen?

- They couldn’t convict him criminally because he paid up to escape it (that weird American possibility that ensures not all are equal before the law). He was convicted civilly but technically for committing crime. I on the other hand live in a country where unexplained damage to a baby in your care in theory leads to minimum 5 years of prison, if you admit an accident it’s more lenient but telling the truth that you don’t know how a bump on the skull happened exposes you to the as much risk as some who murder and rape. - Doesn’t deserve criticism considering all he won with all the crashes plus how close he got to a TdF (Pog had luck). If Pog and Jonas battle and wipe each other out we have Remco and Primoz to put on a show.Mistermaumau20-11-2024
