Remco Evenepoel looked to take the win on the Belgian time-trial national championships, but a crash brought down his ambitions. One of the spectators who was by the crash site recorded his own footage of the incident.
The weather conditions were, as usual, rainy in Belgium this afternoon, and Evenepoel was ultimately a victim of these conditions. He rode through the finish with the fourth best time, finishing just outside the podium whilst Wout van Aert took the win.
