UAE Team Emirates - XRG remain at the top of the UCI ranking with 24,308 points, preserving a very healthy margin over their pursuers. The Emirati outfit continues to dominate a table they have controlled for much of the season thanks to a torrent of wins and podiums from a roster led by Tadej Pogacar.
Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe stay second on 19,059 points, while Team Visma | Lease a Bike hold third with 17,130. The Dutch team thus keeps its podium spot, with no movement among the top five this week.
Fourth place remains with Decathlon CMA CGM Team on 15,454 points, while Lidl-Trek complete the top five with 13,857.
Behind them, XDS Astana Team are still sixth with 12,041 points and Bahrain Victorious seventh with 10,750. Netcompany Ineos occupy eighth on 9,941.
The main change in the top 10 comes in ninth and tenth. Alpecin-Premier Tech climb one place to ninth, on 9,839 points, after Jasper Philipsen lit up the Renewi Tour.
The Belgian was one of the race’s standout riders, taking multiple stages and the overall classification. His haul allows Alpecin to move ahead of Soudal Quick-Step.
The Belgian squad slip to tenth with 9,535 points, in a week when Tim Merlier fell short of expectations at the Renewi Tour.
The gap between the two teams now sits at just over 300 points, so the battle for ninth remains wide open.
Relegation battle
In the previous update the 13-20th positions were as followed: EF Education - EasyPost, NSN Cycling Team, Movistar Team, Pinarello - Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Lotto - Intermarché, Cofidis and then Groupama - FDJ United.
This week the same order follows in the rankings. Lotto sit in the last place out of the World Tour licenses provisionally, just over 300 points above Cofidis and almost 700 over Groupama. Team Picnic PostNL sit in 30th place, and are not part of the battle for maintaining their position in the World Tour anymore.
No changes in the fight for the top 30
One of the key takeaways is the lack of movement in the battle for the top 30, a particularly significant zone looking ahead. Euskaltel - Euskadi in 31st place look to overtake Team Picnic PostNL so as to be allowed to apply for a wildcard at the 2027 Vuelta a España where Mikel Landa will want to be present.
The teams currently in positions that grant access to the 2027 Grand Tours hold station in this update. The picture, however, could shift markedly once Vuelta a España points are added, with the race still underway.
The next updates therefore merit close attention. The Spanish Grand Tour could substantially reshape gaps, especially among teams in the middle and lower reaches of the table.
