UAE Team Emirates matches Mapei's record - 19 riders have won races in 2024

UAE Team Emirates has taken wins number 74 and 75 this Saturday at the Tour de Luxembourg and Super 8 Classic. After Baroncini took his victory in the Belgian race the team matched a record set by Mapei in the 21st century when it comes to the amount of riders who have taken wins during the year.

The team this year has been completely dominating the calendar, winning the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France with Tadej Pogacar who has brought in 22 World Tour victories himself (more than Team Visma | Lease a Bike or any other team), the team is unmatched at the top of the UCI rankings but even individually, the Slovenian has over double the points of second place Remco Evenepoel.

There is a huge budget behind the team, and so not only does it have quality leaders, but also tremendous depth. 19 riders have now won in this season alone. Isaac Del Toro, Brandon McNulty, Finn Fisher-Black, Adam Yates, Juan Ayuso, Marc Hirschi, Tadej Pogacar, Diego Ulissi, Jan Christen, Pavel Sivakov, António Morgado, João Almeida, Tim Wellens, Nils Politt, Felix Großschartner, Domen Novak, Jay Vine, Marc Soler and now Filippo Baroncin have all raised their arms in glory.
