Trek-Segafredo show in Stage 3 of UAE Ladies Tour: Elisa Longo Borghini conquers Jebel Hafeet mountain together with her teammate Gaia Realini

The Queen stage of the first ever edition of UAE Ladies Tour was on to watch. Crosswinds made damage again in the results of the race and in the Jebel Hafeet climb, Trek-Segafredo destroying the opponents with Elisa Longo Borghini winning the stage together with her teammate Gaia Realini.

Another stage marked by crosswinds, before the climb and once again FDJ-SUEZ team suffering from the echelons made by their rivals and Marta Cavalli struggling to keep in touch with the peloton. Later even Liane Lippert was dropped due to the amazing work of Trek-Segafredo with the echelons.

Lianne Lippert started the Jebel Hafeet 1 minute behind, so she tried her best to catch the riders at the front. In the last 7 km Trek-Segafredo took control with Gaia Realini shattering the group into just 3 riders with her teammate Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) and Esmée Peperkamp (Team DSM) only for in the last 5 km the Trek-Segafredo duo went solo in the climb with Peperkamp being dropped.

The two Trek-Segafredo riders crossed the line together with Elisa Longo Borghini taking the stage and the general classification leadership, Gaia Realini second and Silvia Persico (Team UAE-ADQ) finishing third.
