Tour de France has always been one of the most famous cycling events in the world. According to Discovery Sports, this year’s tour has set new streaming and broadcast record.
It broke records in 50 European markets, including Denmark, Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Ireland. It does not stop with European markets, The Tour de France was broadcast and streamed in the U.S. by NBC Sports and Peacock, and the market saw the tour bring five times the audience compared to the previous year.
Eurosport reported a 32 percent increase in audience across all of its digital platforms. Warner Bros. revealed that the most watched stages featured an epic duel for the Yellow Jersey between Vingegaard and Former tour champion Tadej Pogaar. It racked up over 400 million hours viewed across Eurosport’s television.
