Tadej Pogacar to auction diamond-encrusted shoes to fund his Cancer foundation

Former Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar has revealed plans to auction the diamond-encrusted cycling shoes he wore in the final stage of the tour.
The shoes feature 138 natural black diamonds, which according to reports, have a total karat weight of 3.62 karats. It was also revealed that 85% of the auction earnings will be transferred to Tadej Pogacar Cancer Foundation. The highest bidder will also receive an NFT along with the shoes.
The Tadej Pogacar Cancer Research Foundation was established by Pogacar himself this July along with Dr. Inigo San-Millan. It funds research targeting the synergy of exercise, metabolism, and cancer treatment, mainly concentrating on research in cancer metabolism.
