Tour de France Femmes 2026 Prize Money: Demi Vollering and teams earnings eclipsed by Tadej Pogacar's Tour de France winnings

The 2026 Tour de Frances Femmes is in the books as Demi Vollering took her second-ever general classification win. With three stage wins and the yellow jersey, she and her FDJ-Suez team lead the prize money standings.
However, compared to Tadej Pogacar's winnings at the Tour de France last month, the overall earnings of teams and riders paint a picture of the huge contrast between prize money awarded in the women's and men's Grand Tour.
More than €2.3 million was awarded across the men’s Tour, while that figure stands at €260,750 across all 21 women’s teams. To further highlight the stark contrast, Pogacar's €500,000 award for winning the general classification is ten times Demi Vollering's €50,000 award and almost double that of the entire pot for the combined prize money.
Vollering leads the way in individual riders' earnings, which add into their team's total. Meanwhile, Kasia Niewiadoma and Elisa Longo Borghini's podium finish also put them high in the rankings. Lorena Wiebes, Kim Le Court and Marlen Reusser's stage wins also see them rank high on the list.

FDJ United-Suez unsurprisingly command the team prize money distribution with €77,080. Sanyon//SRAM and UAE Team L'IMAD lead the chasing pack at €51,500 and €37,980 respectively. From there, the money awarded drops significantly.
SD Worx-Protime's general classification challenge faded, but Wiebes' green jersey and stage wins mean they walk away with €18,940. Lidl-Trek finish with €14,880 and EF Education-Oatly took €12,140.
Six teams earned less than €1000 throughout the nine stages of the race while one team even earned nothing for their participation.
At the bottom of the rankings, Picnic PostNL collected €400, Lotto Intermarché Ladies €340 and VolkerWessels €250. French team Mayenne Monbana My Pie finished without earning any prize money.

- I agree with much of what you said, except the shot against Lotte. She has won 2 monuments, a GT stage, on the track, one day races and national championships. Pretty solid results. I love Demi as a rider. I can't say how I feel about her as a person as I've never met her. I feel bad for her sometimes - she is attractive, she wins, and she is fierce. That lady gives it her all on a bike and shows her emotions when it doesn't go well. She sometimes could be a more gracious loser, but I think that is the competitiveness in her. I mostly love watching her race and how hard she works. She is awesome.mij10-08-2026
