Every Grand Tour sees riders coming in which have won stages in the other two Grand Tours. In the case of the 2023
Tour de France, there are four riders who, if they win a stage, will conclude the achievement of winning in all three.
Out of the 176 riders who are taking to the start of the Giro, four have won stages at the Giro d'Italia and Vuelta a Espana, but not at the Tour. Hence they have the opportunity to complete what is a rare but possible achievement in cycling. Those four riders are split between two teams only as EF Education-EasyPost have the opportunity to see
Richard Carapaz and
Esteban Chaves accomplish it, whilst Bahrain - Victorious can see the same with
Mikel Landa and
Nikias Arndt.
