Gratulacje Rafał! 🤍❤️ @majkaformal @TeamEmiratesUAE
Rafal Majka returned to winning ways for the first time in over a year on stage 3 of the 2023 Tour de Pologne, sprinting to a punchy victory from a reduced GC bunch.
“This is so important to me and I am so happy," said the 33-year-old in his post-stage interview. Winning is always special, but winning at your home race always tastes a little sweeter for the UAE Team Emirates climber. "We have Joao Almeida here for the general classification, but I also got to go my own way."
Coming straight to the Tour de Pologne from the Tour de France, Majka believes having the three weeks of racing in his legs has stood him in good stead for this latest stage race.
"I said yesterday: I would be so happy if I win and I succeeded,” the Pole concludes. "I brought the legs from the Tour de France.”
