It's confirmed. Tadej Pogacar will return to racing for the first time since the Tour de France to represent Slovenia in Glasgow at the World Championships in both the men's road race and the individual time-trial.
After announcing that he planned to take a post-Tour de France break, in order to fully refresh and refocus, Pogacar must now be sufficiently rested as his return is announced. The UAE Team Emirates rider will lead the Slovenian team which includes Luka Mezgec, Domen Novak, Matevž Govekar, Kristijan Koren, Tilen Finkšt, Jaka Primožič and Anže Skok.
Pogacar will have big hopes of claiming the rainbow jersey in both of the disciplines he competes. The 24-year-old is the kind of rider who believes he can win each and every time he takes to the start line. The only Slovenian representative for the time-trial, the nation's hopes will rest on Pogacar's shoulders.
Also part of the Slovenian team for the World Championships is Pogacar's partner, Urška Žigart who will compete in the women's road race alongside Eugenia Bujak, Ursa Pintar and Spela Kern.
