While Giro d'Italia is in full swing,
Thibau Nys may have slip from our attention, but the Belgian gave a subtle hint as to what are his next plans via
Instagram story.
Quick refresh, the main items on Nys' wishlist for 2025 road season were to debut at the Classics and later at a Grand Tour. The first went fairly well, so to say. Nys was 12th at Amstel Gold Race, 8th at Fleche Wallonne and wrapped up with a top-5 at Liege-Bastogne-Liege on his Monument debut.
Therefore one can only wonder what's in store for the young Belgian. The most logical Grand Tour to debut at for Nys would then be the
Tour de France. But that comes with a catch - any rider would love to race the Grande Boucle. And not as many are so daring - or rather have such quality - to take on the world's biggest cycling event as their first meal.
Yet Nys is not like most. The start at north of France seems tailor-made for the explosive Belgian. And then there's the Instagram story. Yes, Nys is currently exploring the slopes and high altitude of Sierra Nevada. We can only assume, but he wouldn't be in Spain at this point of the season if Tour wasn't on his menu, right?
