"The team was excited, they wanted the Colombian jersey" - Paula Patiño delights Movistar Team and National Championships

Paula Patiño, an outstanding Movistar Team rider known in recent seasons for having been one of Annemiek Van Vleuten's best teammates, was crowned the new elite champion at the Colombian National Road Championships;
The cyclist was very excited after the race to have the pride of being able to wear the Colombian champion's jersey throughout the year in the best races in the world in Europe.

"It is a great pride, I was looking for this jersey for several years, with great illusion of finally being able to wear it in Europe, also along with my team, finally this year they were very excited that they wanted the jersey of Colombia and finally I got the victory. Very hard fought, very sought after, today I had enough strength to win".
In declarations to Canal RCN, Patiño emphasized her joy and satisfaction for the triumph: "I was able to count on enough strength to take the victory. This triumph tastes like glory to me. I'm going to Europe happier".
Her former teammate Van Vleuten posted a story on her Instagram account in which she could be seen watching the race on a television congratulating Patiño: "Very happy for Paula Patiño. always 100% committed to the job and now she gets to win the Colombian Nationals!".
