The star of African cycling, Biniam Girmay, shows off his custom painted bicycle

Biniam Girmay is one of the fan favourite riders within the professional pack and his employer - Intermarché-Circus-Wanty - is righteously proud to have the so-called 'history maker' on board through 2026. And so the young Eritrean can show off his Cube bike with custom Eritrean theme.

Girmay became the leading face of African cycling in 2022, when he shocked the world when he won Gent-Wevelgem, just to write even more heartwarming story at the Giro d'Italia. After a string of top-5 results, his time came in a hilly stage 10 to Jesi where he dominated Mathieu van der Poel in a head-to-head sprint. But nobody foresaw what would come after, as wild champagne cork ended Girmay's Giro d'Italia just moments after his glorious victory.
