The riders who scored the most Prize Money at the 2023 Tour de France - Jonas Vingegaard tops standings with €551.970

The Tour de France is the road cycling event which gathers the most prize money for it's participants and we take a look at the 50 riders who have scored the most financial gains (to be split amongst the whole team and staff) throughout the three weeks of racing.

Overall classification being the biggest source of prize money in this race, the Top3 is unsurprisingly made of Jonas Vingegaard (€551.970), Tadej Pogacar (€284.030) and Adam Yates (€121.760). The gains of Vingegaard are similar to those of the remaining Top5 combined. The Top10 is made out of the riders who have finished the highest in the key classification, as the podium was followed by Jasper Philipsen, Simon Yates, Carlos Rodríguez, Felix Gall, Giulio Ciccone, Pello Bilbao and Mads Pedersen.

Taking a look at the Top50 shows some interesting results from other riders such as that of Wout van Aert who is in 12th spot after a few results in stages despite not having conquered his desired stage win and abandoning the race early. Bryan Coquard who battled through the race and finished third in the points classification is 14th, Mathieu Burgaudeau rode to 27th after having a few under the radar breakaway results, Mark Cavendish who abandoned in the first week without a win finished 40th and wrapping up the Top50 is Laurent Pichon whose best stage result was a 40th place but has gathered money through one single breakaway because of the maximum points on an intermediate sprint and the combativity award.
