Tao Geoghegan Hart was the fastest of the favorites group in another top climb stage in Volta a Comunitat Valenciana that ended in an uphill sprint.
The INEOS-Grenadiers rider took advantage off the amazing work his team did during the last climb. The race leader Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segafredo) finished 3rd in today's stage 4, being 1 stage left for him to celebrate.
The stage started with a lot of attacks with an huge breakaway of 23 riders. The break had some important names like Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo), Georg Zimmermann (Intermarché-Circus-Wanty) and Thymen Arensman (INEOS-Grenadiers). Of the break, Arensman was the last to be caught around 7 km to go.
A peloton around 70 riders started the last climb of the race. INEOS-Grenadiers did the most work along the climb.
It ended with a tremendous uphill sprint between the general classification favorites with Carlos Rodriguez doing an amazing lead out work for Hart.
Tao Geoghegan Hart (INEOS-Grenadiers was the best ahead of Thomas Gloag (Jumbo-Visma) and race leader Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segafredo) who managed to keep his leader's jersey on the most important stage.
