On November 24, Monaco will host the Beking event for the third time. The project promotes cycling at all levels with former European champion
Matteo Trentin as its ambassador. And the Italian won't be by far the biggest name at the start as
Tadej Pogacar should make his first public outing in the streets of Monaco after holidays.
"I am proud that Tadej will show his world champion's jersey in the streets of Monaco," declares Trentin in
event announcement. "It is a great honor for us, and the public will be very pleased to see the world champion in action from so close. It demonstrates how important our sport can be in society and everyday life."
Next to the Slovenian star couple, more WorldTour rider should be present at the criterium. Michal Matthews, Matej Mohoric, Tim Wellens, Elia Viviani and his partner Elena Cecchini, Davide Formolo, and former World Champion Mads Pedersen have also already been announced, but it's not unlikely that more are to follow.
In addition to cyclists, other prominent figures will also be present at the event. For example, Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic, F1 driver Oliver Bearman and former F1 driver Antonio Giovinazzi. Furthermore, we will also see former pros such as Nicolas Roche, Manuel Quinziato, and Thor Hushovd at the event.
