Tadej Pogacar ready for Tour de France after winning time-trial and road race at Slovenian national championships

Only at the Tour de France next week will he find out, but good signs in training have now turned into results for Tadej Pogacar, as he won the Slovenian national championships road race today following the time-trial.

The UAE Team Emirates rider has collaborated with Luka Mezgec throughout the afternoon, the duo attacked the race from quite far, but in the final lap Pogacar dropped the sprinter and took home the title. Mezgec rode to second spot on the day nevertheless, whilst Matej Mohoric rode to third.
