Silvia Persico wins fourth stage of Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta

Silvia Persico has won the fourth stage of the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta. She was fastest amongst her rivals and crossed the finish line first, and secured the victory.

At the start of the stage, Anna Kiesenhofer went into aggressive mode and launched an attack. She started with 30 seconds and increased it to over 9 minutes at one point before the peloton came into action and decreased it to under 4 minutes.

However, she was caught in the final kilometer. Silvia Persico managed to jump ahead and take the victory. Demi Vollering finished second while Elisa Longo Borghini won the bronze. Annemiek van Vleuten maintains her top position in GC.
