Silvia Persico delighted following Brabantse Pijl success: "I see it as one of the best victories of my career"

Silvia Persico emerged victorious from hard battle at Brabantse Pijl and after edging out SD Worx rider and 2022 winner Demi Vollering to achieve the win, Persico believes it could be her best career victory.
"I am very happy. The team was very strong, so I want to dedicate this victory to them. It's a great start to the triptych, I see it as one of the best victories of my career," said Persico immediately following the races end in an interview.
"I chose Vollering's wheel because she was very strong, I know she has a good sprint," explains the UAE Team ADQ star. "You can still win this sprint in the last meters, so I kept my jump. SD Worx rode really strong anyway, so I kept a close eye on them all."
"After the Tour of Flanders I wanted to take revenge, so I started with the idea of winning," continues the 25-year-old Italian. "The fact that I succeeded was something that made me very happy."
