Sepp Kuss follows 2021 schedule for Tour de France preparation - " The schedule that works the best for me"

Sepp Kuss has set his sights on Tour de France and in order to be in the best possible shape, he will be following his 2021 schedule, which included the UAE Tour, Volta a Catalunya, and Tour de Romandie.

"I think this one is more or less the schedule that works the best for me, with lots of rest between races," Kuss told Cyclingnews. He continues, "I did more in the spring last year, but while I need the racing, I don't necessarily get better from it. So it's about finding the right balance."

The Volta a Catalunya is on Sepp Kuss' radar, and he's feeling optimistic about his chances in the race. "Catalunya is my home race and it's one I like. I hope to do well there, though I don't really need to be firing on all cylinders till late May. The Tour and the Vuelta - there's quite a bit to go."

He is contemplating the idea of joining the Vuelta a Espana following the tour, although this has not been confirmed. "I think so, you never know what can happen with the Vuelta and the Tour, but as it is now that's kind of the direction. We'll see how it works out,” concluded Kuss.
