The break was caught around 14 km to go as Caja Rural, Cofidis and
Jumbo-Visma pulled the peloton. The Hungarian Road Champion
Attila Valter made a strong pace in the beggining of the climb that reduced the peloton to just 4 riders, he himself, Vingegaard,
Ruben Guerreiro, and Ion Izagirre. And in 1.5 km to go Vingegaard went alone with another strong attack that nobody could follow.
Jonas Vingegaard gets his second stage win in his second complete competition day and keeps his leader's jersey.
Ruben Guerreiro finished second 21 seconds behind and Atilla Valter who worked a lot for Vingegaard managed to finish third, 35 seconds behind his teammate as Ion Izagirre crashed in the very dangerous roads right before the finish.
