The Norwegian team keep racking up the results and in the queen stage of Turkey's
Tour of Antalya, they put on an impressive collective performance and have taken their second stage win of the day after Anthon Charmig won the hilltop finish at the Tour of Oman.
Edgar Nieto (Spor Toto Cycling Team) and Gergely Szarka (Giotti Victoria - Savini Due) were the lone breakaway members on this short stage of only 109 kilometers that set off early on. With 28 kilometers to go, as the gap came down, Jon Knolle (Saris Rouvy Sauerland Team) jumped from the peloton to join the duo outfront. As Nieto and Knolle lost their group companion, they gained more in Ludovic Robeet (Bingoal Pauwels Sauces WB), and WiV SunGod duo Matt Gibson and Jacob Scott who also jumped from the peloton.
As race leader Dušan Rajović got dropped in the final climb of 8.8 kilometers at an average gradient of 5.8%, the riders that came out to fight for the overall win hit the fore. Gaps weren't made in the ascent though, as the leading group was caught no-one managed to get ahead of the competition and the small leading group saw a sprint for the line, where Uno-X took yet another win.
Jacob Hidsgaul Madsen is the second Danish Uno-X rider to win today, he was the fastest in the sprint of a few riders and is now also the new leader of the race. He beat in a sprint Gazprom's Alessandro Fedelli and Bingoal's Luc Wirtgem who completed the podium.
