The Women's World Tour calendar sees another step as the peloton is this week in Great Britain, and today's opening stage of the RideLondon Classique was taken by Lorena Wiebes who was the fastest in the final dash to the line.
It was with a dominant gap that the Team DSM rider took the win on the day, with the finale in Maldon at the end of 136 kilometers on the road. Wiebes beat the star-studded podium containing Elisa Balsamo and Emma Norsgaard.
