Revelation of 2023, third from Giro d'Italia Donne Gaia Realini extends with Lidl-Trek until 2027

Gaia Realini confirmed that she will continue racing for Lidl-Trek for at least four more seasons. The 22-year-old Italian, who has quickly become one of the best climbers in the women's peloton, has extended her contract until the end of 2027.

The achievements of past year now earn Realini this nice new contract. "My first season with the team exceeded my wildest expectations," said Realini, third from last year's Giro d'Italia Donne. "Expectations are now even higher: we want to take on this major challenge. By extending my contract, I show that I really enjoy racing for this team. And also that I feel extremely appreciated."

"The biggest lesson I learned at Lidl-Trek is to never give up, even in the most difficult situations. With this team I have realized that cycling is a team sport. I've never felt alone. I have always been able to count on a strong team by my side, which allowed me to reach my full potential and gain even more self-confidence. I will now continue the journey to push my limits even further."
