Results Cro Race 2026 stage 3 - Uno-X strikes again as Tobias Svarre wins queen stage ahead of Tiberi and Wellens

Stage 3 of the Cro Race was expected to be a key day for the overall classification, and the battle for the overall classification exploded. Uno-X Mobility had already won the previous day, and this Thursday afternoon it was Tobias Svarre who took the victory, over two top World Tour pros.
The third stage of the race was also the most difficult, beginning in Krk and finishing in Labin. The first two thirds of the day were flat, but the route featured a final circuit that included a climb that was 3.2 kilometers long at almost 12% which could decide the race.
Tim Torn Teutenberg, Carl-Frederik Bévort and Axel van der Tuuk formed the day's breakaway, although it proved no threat to those behind. The trio would get caugt one by one during the major climb, in which UAE set a strong pace. But it was Tobias Svarre of Uno-X launching an attack.
Antonio Tiberi followed, as did Cofidis' Sam Maisonobe. With 22 kilometers to go Tiberi would move off the front and go solo; whilst behind Maisonobe cracked. Tim Wellens from behind would go on to join Svarre.
Tiberi caught, Svarre the winner
Tiberi looked to be the strongest, but the rolling terrain favoured the chasers almost all the way to the line. The catch was made with 3 kilometers to go, leading into the hilltop finish - 1.6Km at 6.3%:
The final ramps were cobbled and rather steep, with Svarre leading the trio in. Tiberi took the front with 150 meters to go, but in what could barely be called a sprint, Svarre went on to take the victory with a push in the very final meters of the stage.
Svarre will be the new race leader with three stages left to go, as Uno-X fight on to take what would be an important overall classification triumph.

- I like Pidcock but he's not a leader. He's a great racer but will never be better than he occasional sage winner or classic guy on the road under the right situation. Ineos wanted him to lead the their team and win stage races, he couldn't take the pressure, which is fine, not everyone can.awp24-09-2026
