Remco Evenepoel has completed his training in preparation for the upcoming battle for the Maglia Rosa at the
Giro d'Italia, following a 183km time-trial.
Blasting a four-hour ride with an average speed of 44.7 km/h, Evenepoel did not reveal any interesting data in regards to wattage or power output. Nevertheless, the world time-trial champion did post a picture of his route with the caption "Finito with the trainings."
The Belgian will take to the startline of the opening time-trial of the Giro d'Italia on Saturday, as one of the overall favourites for both the Maglia Rosa and the opening stage win. With his preparation now complete, Evenepoel will be expected to travel to Italy and meet up with his teammates ready for the three-week stage race.
