On the 9th of April the peloton will take on what is one of the single most important one-day races for the sprinters in the calendar. Every spring, Scheldeprijs provides a golden opportunity for the fast men to test themselves against each other. We preview the race ahead.
The 202-kilometer long classic is pan-flat and often is affected by the wind. However despite that, and a small cobbled sector in the final four-lap circuit, the sprinters usually always take success in this race at the end of the day with the finale in Schoten.
Prediction Scheldeprijs 2025:
*** Tim Merlier, Jasper Philipsen
** Milan Fretin, Sam Welsford, Dylan Groenewegen, Matteo Moschetti
* Gerben Thijssen, Stanislaw Aniolkowski, Edward Theuns, Pavel Bittner, Max Kanter, Gleb Syritsa, Ethan Vernon, Elia Viviani, Jason Tesson, Alberto Dainese, Alexander Kristoff, Davide Bomboi, Sasha Weemaes
Pick: Tim Merlier
How: Regular bunch sprint
