On the 18th of April we will have on the road the
Brabantse Pijl. The Belgian classic is a mix of the cobbled and Ardennes classics, and coincidentally it comes in between the two phases of the spring. We
preview the race ahead.
The 162.5-kilometer race fits the puncheurs and cobbled classics specialists, although the organizers cut over 30 kilometers from this year's route, making it almost an hour short. It provides an opportunity for many riders. The race revolves around it's final circuit in Overijse, where in 20 kilometers the riders find four ascents, two of them cobbled, and one corresponding to the finish. It's a highly explosive route which is very hard to control and very often leads to exciting and dramatic racing.
