PHOTO: Mathieu van der Poel enjoys well-earned rest in Dubai

After a busy Spring saw Mathieu van der Poel take victories at races such as the E3 Saxo Classic, Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders, the world champion is enjoying some well-deserved rest currently in Dubai.

In a photo posted to the Instagram story of van der Poel's partner, Roxanne Bertels, the Alpecin-Deceuninck superstar can be seen relaxing in the Arab sunshine on what looks to be a very fancy yacht. With a beaming smile, van der Poel seems to be having the time of his life on his holidays. Notably, when the Dutchman is planned for a racing return isn't yet known but with the Olympic Games and the World Championship still to come this year, it's set to be a busy summer.
