"On the way back" - Remco Evenepoel posts update of his road to recovery

After suffering fractures to his collarbone and scapula in that nasty Itzulia Basque Country crash earlier this month, Remco Evenepoel is well on the way to a full recovery.

In an update posted to his official Instagram account, the Belgian leader of Soudal - Quick-Step shows of his intense training in the gym as he looks to get to somewhere near his best before his expected Tour de France debut later this summer. "Working on the way back, in the lab," Evenepoel captions the images, clearly showing his desire.

“I feel a bit better already,” Evenepoel recently said in quotes collected by Het Nieuwsblad, outlining the fact that he still holds ambitions of not just making it to the Tour de France this year, but also being at a level he can compete.
