It was third time lucky for Jumbo-Visma's Olav Kooij at the Tour of Guangxi as the Dutchman powered to a sprint victory on stage 3.
Alpecin-Deceuninck's Dries de Bondt, who was part of the day's breakaway yet again, has also moved into the overall lead of the race courtesy of the bonus seconds picked up on the road. Meaning for him at least, the break being caught with 20km to go wasn't much of a disappointment.
After the break was caught ut was all about the sprint and having failed to deliver victory on the opening two stages, Kooij would not be denied this time. Becoming the youngest ever Tour of Guangxi stage winner in the process.
