OFFICIAL: Tudor strike in the transfer market with double signing of proven Grand Tour winners boasting 13 stage victories between them

Tudor Pro Cycling have made a sizeable double move for 2027, officially confirming the signings of Kaden Groves and Nico Denz on three-year contracts through to the end of 2029.
Between them, the pair arrive with 13 Grand Tour stage victories. Groves accounts for 10, including wins at the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España, while Denz has won three stages of the Giro.
Groves, still only 27, also arrives with 21 professional victories and two Vuelta points classifications to his name. Having completed his collection of Grand Tour stage wins at the Tour in 2025, the Australian already has another major target for his time with Tudor.
“I've followed Tudor Pro Cycling for several years and have seen their impressive growth and development,” said Groves in a team press release. “I'm thrilled to join the Tudor Pro Cycling family and contribute to the next big goals.
“Continuing the upward momentum is our primary goal. Personally, I’m eager to take the next step in my career. Returning to the Tour de France to fight for stage wins and the green jersey is at the top of my list.”

Groves looks for fresh start after disrupted 2026
Groves' first Grand Tour victory came on Stage 11 of the 2022 Vuelta before his move to Alpecin-Deceuninck opened the most successful period of his career. He won at the Giro and took three Vuelta stages in 2023, alongside his first green jersey, before another three-stage haul and a successful defence of the points classification at the 2024 Vuelta.
Another Giro victory followed in 2025 before Groves completed his set with victory on Stage 20 of the Tour de France. Rather than coming from the type of bunch sprint with which he had made his name, Groves won from the breakaway in Pontarlier.
His 2026 season has been considerably more disrupted. Groves has yet to win this year and has accumulated only 15 race days after struggling to put together a sustained programme.
His Giro ended after just four stages, while he lasted three days at the Tour de Suisse. A 100th-place finish at the ADAC Cyclassics in August has been his only completed one-day race of the season.
Tudor CEO and co-owner Raphael Meyer also pointed to the Australian's versatility when discussing the signing. “Kaden brings impressive firepower for bunch sprints, hilly terrain, and tough finales,” said Meyer.

Alongside Groves, Tudor have added one of the peloton's established breakaway specialists and domestiques in 32-year-old Denz. The German has seven individual professional victories, with his biggest successes coming during the Giro. Denz enjoyed his breakthrough Grand Tour in 2023 by winning Stages 12 and 14 within the space of three days, before returning to win Stage 18 in 2025.
His palmarès also includes victories at the Tour de Suisse, Tour of Türkiye and Tour of Slovakia, where he finished second overall in 2020. The move to Tudor could have happened considerably earlier.
“I'm truly excited about this new chapter. Three years ago, I came close to joining Tudor Pro Cycling - now I’m delighted it’s become a reality,” Denz revealed. “I already know many people on the staff and among the riders from my previous teams, and I look forward to working with them again. Tudor Pro Cycling is a dynamic, young, and ambitious Team, and I see opportunities to grow, contribute, share my experience, and achieve great things together.”
Denz has not added another individual victory in 2026, although he finished third at the German national road race championships behind Felix Engelhardt and Tudor's own Lennart Jasch. He has also completed both the Giro and Tour de France this season, adding another two Grand Tour appearances to a career total that now stands at 15.
Meyer expects the German's experience to extend beyond his own opportunities on the road, with both Denz and Groves earmarked to work alongside Tudor's younger riders during their three-year contracts. “Nico’s race intelligence, instinct for opportunities, experience, and loyalty have made him a highly respected and valued rider within the peloton,” he said.
Groves and Denz will officially join Tudor at the beginning of the 2027 season, with both contracted through 2029 as the Swiss team continues to reinforce its roster with proven WorldTour experience.

- I would have a very good look at the aerodynamics of his upper body positioning compared to e.g. RE, seems to me he’s using far too many watts fighting against wind. We aren’t all born to slipstream so unless he’s prepared to start looksmaxxing, he’s not going to catch up now that all the youngsters are already being prepared for this discipline at an early age.
