Michael Storer has soloed to a stunning win on stage 3 at the Tour de l'Ain, securing himself the overall victory at the race for the second time in his career.
After the crazy finale to stage 2 yesterday saw Jefferson Alexander Cepeda move into the race lead, the EF Education-EasyPost rider faced a battle to retain the jersey on the third and final stage. Heading into the 7th and final categorised climb of the day though it was Michael Storer's Groupama - FDJ putting on the pressure.
Once Storer made his attack, Cepeda could not live with him, in truth, no one could. The 26-year-old Australian taking a brilliant victory on the day in which his future transfer to the Tudor Pro Cycling Team was announced.
