Member of Euskaltel-Euskadi could be behind Operación Ilex leak, Caja Rural connections with Marcos Maynar

During the last Vuelta a España a 23-page document was leaked that implicated some riders of the Caja Rural - Seguros RGA team with Dr. Marcos Maynar and his doping plot in the investigation known as Operación Ilex. A few weeks ago some newspapers leaked these documents and Caja Rural denounced this leak as being self-serving and intended to damage its reputation.

Marcos Maynar himself, in statements to El Contraanálisis, hinted that someone from the Euskaltel Euskadi team could have leaked the document due to the competition that the teams have to get an invitation to the Vuelta a España. Now, Diario de Navarra publishes that a person from the Euskadi Foundation is being investigated as the alleged leaker of the 23 papers.

Thus, the court number 3 of Victoria would have already called this person to testify as a person under investigation for having allegedly sent the documents to the teams and to the press. This is explained by the colleagues of the Diario de Navarra:

"This would be proven by the fact that the reference of the postmark on the envelopes received coincides in time and form with the images obtained by the investigators from the security cameras of the post office number 2 in Vitoria. In them, this person is seen with the envelopes that were subsequently sent."
