Stage 1

NSN Cycling Team's Oded Kogut slid out painfully on the very first corner of his time-trial. The Israeli nevertheless finished the stage, albeit in last position.

Stage 2

Lennert van Eetvelt was a DNS at the start of the day, with his Lotto-Intermarche team reporting lingering effects from a Strade Bianche crash
On the stage itself, Martin Marcellusi was involved in a scary moment as he somersaulted off-road and down an embankment. Thankfully though, he managed to get back on his bike finish the stage.
Then in the gravel finale, the likes of Thymen Arensman, Matteo Jorgenson and Carlos Samudio were among the riders to slide out painfully.

Stage 4

Alpecin-Premier Tech's Michael Gogl crashed whilst attempting to put on a rain jacket. The incident was then immediately made much scarier as a TV motorbike following behind went straight over him. Thankfully, he was able to get back on his bike and finish the stage.

Stage 5

Fernando Gaviria did not finish the stage whilst Xandro Meurisse and Ilan van Wilder were both DNS on the day. Giovanni Aleotti crashed during the stage.
