Maxim van Gils back to victories - After difficult spring, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe wins at Tour of Norway

Maxim van Gils opened up his tally with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe this year with a victory at the Vuelta a Andalucia, but throughout the spring and his key goals he lacked the form. It was a difficult one but the Belgian is now back, and also back to his winning ways as he was the strongest on stage 3 of the Tour of Norway.
In the summit finish to Heja (2.4 kilometers at a gradient of 7.8%), the puncheurs would come to the front, and after already putting on strong performances the previous days, the Belgian today had the legs to bring a victory to the German team, beating Matthew Brennan to the line in a thrilling sprint. INEOS Grenadiers' Victor Langellotti was third on the day, whilst the race lead remains on Brennan's shoulders.

- They don’t half come up with some crap to turn events into stories. Problem is, if all this was true and so influential, that means 1. Riders are lacking inherent motivation and possibilities for motivation, 2. it’s due to race radio chatter he won and 3. They were lucky no attention was given and race radio didn’t mention him. In fact you are basically admitting outside influence skewed the race and if it works, this technique might get exploited commercially in future by corrupt or biased staff, rivals and officials.
