After his emotional victory in front of the Colosseum in Rome on the final stage of the 2023 Giro d'Italia, Mark Cavendish's next race has been revealed with the Manx Missile being a late addition to the startlist for Friday's RSM-Wealer Ronde Maastricht.
The British champion who rides for the Astana Qazaqstan Team nowadays will be an eye-catching addition to the race although he won't be the only big-name rider involved. Heading straight from the Giro will also be the likes of Gianni Moscon, Koen Bouwman, Nico Denz and Laurens De Plus.
Starting at 8.30 pm (CET) on Friday 2 June, the RSM-Wealer Ronde Maastricht will see its 37th edition of the race and buoyed by his Giro success, Cavendish will be hoping to step up his Tour de France preparation in style in the Netherlands.
