With Tadej Pogacar, Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert at another level in the spring classics, Mads Pedersen has confirmed himself as the great alternative to the 'big 3' of the world peloton at the moment in this type of races.
The Dane, who has won a World Championship in 2019, is a fantastic sprinter and a rider who is perfectly suited to all types of classics. He was the main agitator in the Tour of Flanders and had a very solid performance in Paris-Roubaix. He also finished strongly in San Remo. In all 3 monuments he finished at least in the top 6 and there is no doubt that he has one in his legs.
In his career he accumulates a Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne and a Gent-Wevelgem, in addition to his title in Yorkshire.. The Danish Trek-Segafredo rider has a bright future ahead of him.
