Quinten Hermans and Soren Kragh Andersen form two-pronged Alpecin-Deceuninck attack for Amstel Gold Race

In the absence of recent Paris-Roubaix winner, Mathieu van der Poel, Alpecin-Deceuninck have chosen to hedge their bets with a two-pronged attack at the Amstel Gold Race through Quinten Hermans and Soren Kragh Andersen.

As was the case at Brabantse Pijl, Hermans and Kragh Andersen will hold the hopes of the Alpecin-Deceuninck team. At Brabantse Pijl, Hermans came home 11th having not been involved with the decisive selection, whilst the 28-year-old Dane, Kragh Andersen did not finish the race.

Supporting the duo in their hopes for better success will be the 22-year-old Belgian, Fabio Van Den Bossche, Xandro Meurisse riding in his 4th Amstel Gold Race, former Tour de Wallonie winner Robert Stannard, young Austrian Tobias Bayer and fresh of the back of his 11th placed finish at Paris-Roubaix, Gianni Vermeersch.

Alpecin-Deceuninck for Amstel Gold Race:

Quentin Hermans, Soren Kragh Andersen, Gianni Vermeersch, Tobias Bayer, Xandro Meurisse, Robert Stannard, Fabio Van Den Bossche.
